Who need's Cats (Swordmy) When you can have Dogs? (Snogal). This week's deck is Dog master Fang of Light, Garmore.

Our main boss card is Fang of Light, Garmore. He has a CONT ability to give him +1000 for each Snogal or Brugal on the field. With 3 Snogals that makes him 13k with Snogal's becoming 8ks combines for a nice 21k power column if you can't stride. He also has an on-ride effect where you can discard a card from your hand and search out a Snogal or Brugal from the deck. This will help you get boosters for field consistency. Cost: $1

Our secondary boss is actually a vanilla legion Secret Sword Seeker, Vortigern. The reason for this two-fold. first there isn't really any good supports for Garmore besides Palamedes who doesn't work well with stride, so the vanilla legion provides a really good back up finisher hitting 27k unboosted. The second reason is for retire clans who can kill Snogal. Having legion lets you shuffle them back in and get your field back. Finally there is a bonus that early legion can be achieved easily with all the discard effects. Cost: N/A
For Grade 2s. We have 4x Beast Knight Garmore (0.25) who has the same AUTO as G3 Garmore. and 4x Starlight Violinist (0.35) Who can search out Beast Knight Garmore and fill up your field super easy. And 3x 10k mate for Vortigern (N/A)
For Grade 1s: We will use 4x Trial deck PG (1.50), 4x Laurel Knight, Sicilus (0.70), 4x Snogal (N/A)
and 2x Gigantech Shot Putter (N/A)
The starter will be Millius (0.30) and for strides we use 4x Shrouded Divine Knight Gablade (4)
Final Cost: $31.2

Deck Comments:
The main idea for the deck is to fill up the back row with Snogals to make a row of 8k boosters. Everything in the deck works for that point. Gigantech Shot Putter can be used to boost early but then retired to make room for Snogals. Sicilus generally is only used for stride fodder as not to clog up the board. Starlight Violinist and Gablade serve as searchers to get Beast Knight Garmore to in turn fetch more Snogals. We are using 6 crit 6 draw to provide fuel for the Garmore effects which require you do discard cards essentially turning draws into Snogals. This helps keep up resources for PGs and striding as well.
Match ups:
- VS. Extreme Battlers
- I got first. My opponent gets aggressive with but I have guard in my hand to migitate damage. Grade 2 ride into garmore calling a Snogal from deck and another from my hand gives me 2 7k attackers to bring my own aggro. He doesn't guard anything and goes to 3. 3-1. His field stays the same and he gets 1 damage in. 3-2. I ride voritgen and go for his rear since I can't hit his vanguard, unforunately he gets a heal. 3-2. He rides into Vicktor and strides. An aggresive field set up gets in 1 damage since I guard to prevent his on hit effects, but vicktors skill powers up suanna. 3-4. I stride gablade and use millius -> Starlight Violinist -> Garmore -> Snogal to fill up the field. He takes an attack then PGs Gablade. 4-4. He strides Victoplasma. The wombo combo of Cool Hank, Vicktor's Skill and Susanna Is too much for me and he gets a crit to basically prevent me from healing. 42k susanna ouch....
- VS. Angel Feather Legion + Zerachiel
- This time I get to go first. I take his first attak so that I can use Starlight Violinist when I ride him to get garmore -> snogal. I've already drew 2 snogals at this point so my deck thinning capabilities are limited. He calls an attack and a column to pressure me and hits a crit. 3-4. I ride Vortigen and stride. using the starter combo Millius -> Violinist -> Garmore -> Snogal to fill up my board and then call another snogal from hand. Gablade hits but I'm out of snogals so I can call out a new rearguard column to attack so I go for the 10k to hit his rears. 5-4. He uses Zerachiel's Limit Break to pressure me but without a vanguard booster I can guard his attacks fairly easily. With a lot of triggers in my dropzone I decide to go for legion returning 3 crits and a mate and call the final Snogal to bring them all to 9k. This is important because it puts my legion attack at 36k. I hit 2 crits going on each rearguard which forces him to use up his whole hand. 5-4. On his turn he goes for my face sine he doesn't have any cards left but I he doens't quite make it. He can't guard my 36k vanguard column and loses.
Overall Performance:
The deck seems pretty mediocre unfortunately. Another Issue is that the deck hardly counterblasts which means there are a lot of unused resources. As for Beast Knight Garmore, while he can do the same things as Swordmy it is a lot more conditional and doesn't net you an extra card but rather exchanges one for snogal. So even though they are similar they serve different purposes. Swordmy is used primarily to build advantage and BK, Garmore is used for consistency.
Tips for Mastering:
- The Deck excels at early aggression and plays so mulligan to benefit that.
- Learn what units are good to call at what times to create chains such as violinist -> Garmore -> snogal.
- Figure out when legioning is best. For example in that last game I made a huge middle column by using all 4 snogals.
Tips for adding money:
This is really tough because you can go in almost any directions with the deck. The main engine is Starlight Violinist, Garmore (G2) and Snogal. So you can use it with pretty much any boss card. Two possible options are the super animal army using a jewel knight variant (probably ashlei reverse) and including the swordmy engine as well. Or possibly the most expensive option. I would suggest Thing Saver. The lack of CB and discards can allow an early legion and restand and Thing Saver eats up the CB which the deck doesn't use.
