Notice Thingy

Hey Cardfighters,

I just want to apologize for the lack of articles recently mainly the last month, school has been getting the better of me and I only wrote two articles over the course of maybe 5-6 weeks now.

Not only did I want to apologize for the recently slowness, but I'd also like to take this chance to just talk to you all. I've noticed that I don't really enjoy budgetguard as much as I used to. It used to be able making cool interesting deck on a low budget, but now I feel very forced in that I can't always use the cards I want to or show decks I think are really awesome simply because I restricted myself to a budget. On top of that I end up re-hashing the same decks with a few cards to update it which isn't very interesting to me either. I guess what this means is that budgetguard has probably come to an end. I'm hesitant to end it because I know a lot of people enjoyed it and that is really the only on the blog, but if I'm being honest with myself its been pretty forced lately and that isn't good. While many people would say that you need to cater to your audience I think that it is more important for me to find something that I enjoy writing about and want to honestly share with the community as I once did for Budgetguard. I firmly believe that continuing to do something that feels like it has become a chore is an easy way to start hating something you once enjoyed.

I'd like to look into a new series / article to do for the blog so I'd love your suggestions. I have a few ideas that I want to look into as well, but it will be at least a week before I can get anything going (Finals week eewww.) I really appreciate your patience and I hope that you will continue to visit and enjoy the new content whatever it might be.

TL;DR - Budgetguard has most likely come to an end since I don't enjoy it as much. It will be at least a week till I can get anything new. I would love suggestions and please be patient.

Thank you so much for reading,

Chris

  1. Yeah, I agree, since everything is getting support, everything is rising higher than a usual budget

  2. I've been liking this series more and more lately, and it'll be a shame to see it go, but if you wanted to keep it, maybe increasing the budget to $50 or 60 would help? In terms of new series, I guess card analyses and deck profiles are all I can suggest. I would say something like thoughts on new sets, but that doesn't really seem like your style. Just do what you like. Your readers will either stay or go. They'll have to deal with it if they don't like it.

  3. Hello!!! I'm sad to see Budgetguard go, but I do understand the pressure or being forced to do something turn you off from it. I'd say do your creative decks or your competitive decks, or hell, even a creative competitive deck! XD if people complain about the prices, they can test on Area first to see if it's even their playstyle before investing in the physical cards.

I would say to do like G-series only decks for a while, but there's usually only one actual build for those decks.

Maybe you can go into detail about how a certain deck typically plays with said boss units. I understand most decks are literally the same as each other due to strides usually ending the game, but it's still an idea I'd like to think.

In any case, it is ultimately up to you on what you want to do.
