Moar Updates!

Hey Cardfighters,

I know I have probably lost a lot of you by now and that comes with taking a break but I am coming back! I had intended to make a new article series about deck building but I'm not sure I have the time for that right now which is why that hasn't happened and I apologize for that. That being said I am reviving Budgetguard, but in a new style.

Let's talk about my drive a little. I could rant on forever about this and you'll likely see it in a discussion video on the YouTube eventually but the secondary market for this game is horrendous. Absolutely terrible. The main price valuations come from ebay, and tcgplayer which mean that it is primarily the players who are setting the prices. An obvious consequence of this is when new sets are released some people speculate and raise the prices of cards or buy out cards that may or may not get support without real justification (No tournament results and 1 card reveal sometimes just an ART REVEAL!).  This puts Cardfight!! Vanguard in a really awkward place where cards that are currently unviable are much more expensive than they should ever be. And my main concern is that players looking to get into the competitive scene are running out of reasonably costed choices. Thus the revival of Budgetguard.

*** This is important*** For the time being the blog posts will likely be sporadic so I would suggest subscribing to the RSS feed to get notifications :)

NEW BUDGETGUARD! The rules have changed this time around. This time around we are focusing on competitiveness. We are talking decks that I consider the most powerful deck you can make in a specific clan for a budget. So let's get into the changes more indepth.

1. I'll probably come up with a new name for the series to differentiate it more (TBA)

2. It will be an ongoing list, which means the deck lists and articles will be updated and new posts will let you know which deck(s) have been updated/changed.

3. The new budget is $60 this will let me delve into more competitive options without having to skimp too hard on important cards. (Previously I was unable to use certain bosses since I couldn't allocate for them AND perfect guards. Remember this price excludes commons.

4. The format for the decks will be approximately the same but there will be a more competitive analysis of the deck. Basically: Strengths, Weaknesses, Adding Money and possibly more.

So that's the jist of the new plan I have for the blog! I'll be taking 1-2 weeks per deck to ensure the quality of the deck and I will also be starting from scratch! I don't want to be influenced by older budgetguards in the quest for power! muahahahaha.

Thanks for reading!

Chris
