No Hype No Fear Update! Gbt-05 w/o Narukami

Hey Cardfighters!

The first update for No Hype No Fear (NHNF) has been put up! You can either check the recent articles to look at the lists or you can go ahead and look up at the tabs/pages right underneath the banner. If you click the No Hype No Fear one it will take you to the page and all the deck lists will be hyperlinked from there!

Just a few notes.

1. The lists are just quick skeletons since I had to redo some of them and I ended up pushing off Narukami since it seems to be flavor of the month and the Stride fodders are FIVE USD... wat..... so that's like a 3rd of the budget towards stride fodders, which means I need to reconsider what to do. Since they are just skeletons I will go back next week and fill them up to the full $60 budget to maximize their capabilities.

2. Since this is new I would love to hear all your comments on sections you would like to see, and really just anything I can improve on.

3. Sorry for the wait! Hope it wasn't too long!

Thanks for reading,

Chris

4 Cone Magus
4 Beam Shower Turtle

4 CEO Amaterasu (4.00)

G4: (Strides)
4 Soaring Auspicious Beast Kirin (0.50)

Cost: $47.85 (USD)

Deck Comments:
I think this is one of the stronger overrated decks. It should fare well in the current control meta (GBT05) due to its slow start up. But it has a very powerful draw engine which doesn't really rely on rearguards. So there are a few odd choices in the deck. The G3s and triggers are pretty simple, but what about the grade 2s? G2s aren't that bad either 10ks for a defensive ride, 12ks to get aggressive without committing hand. and Kuroikazuchi to help draw even more! The grade 1s are kind of silly though. Cone and Circle Magus have the same general purpose which is to cover the first legion turn since you usually don't know the top card of your deck and they can help you learn it. I prioritized Cone Magus since you can also use her to get unflips. Beam Shower turtle is hilarious. Using the extra soul charging then you'll be able to use the ability multiple times which will help you live for a long time.

G4: (Strides)
4 Nebula Dragon, Maximum Seal Dragon (2.00)
4 Genesis Dragon, Judgement Messiah (1.00)

Cost: $40.3 (USD)

Deck Comments:
The general Idea of the deck is to make use of Stellar Maker's Gb1 effect to provide constant crit pressure and make 21k columns with Lady Battler or Blast Monk. We have a draw engine in the Child and Heavy Material Dragon to help set up and keep us going. The strides provide utility for locking on hit or providing a huge power push with VG.

No Hype No Fear: Gear Chronicle

Deck Name: WAIT THAT'S NOT A DOG (Kug-Bau)

2 Interdimensional Dragon, Epoch-maker Dragon (4.30)
2 Interdimensional Dragon, Faterider Dragon (5.00)

Cost: $52.20 (USD)

Deck Comments:
This is actually a pretty interesting list. It makes slight use of the time leap mechanic but has the end game goal of killing the opponent with guard restriction via Fiery March and Lugal (BTW Lugal is nuts so if you haven't tried him you really should). Gears are really amazing now because Time Leap gave them a ton of consistency and they still have the power they used to. When playing the deck you'll want to focus on power plays with Lugal like Calling Ur-zaba and then time leaping an Etana into Lugal. This will make a 27k Tom column with no triggers 0.o ouch.... But the deck isn't a one trick pony which is also great. Tick Tock and Kug-Bau's on ride can be used to make multi attack plays. Kalibum can be combined with Fiery March to surprise your opponent with a Tom skill they might not have been expecting!

I hope you all liked the deck!

No Hype No Fear: Pale Moon

Deck Name: Break ride Combo (For lack of a cool name)

Winning Image: Multi-attack plays using break ride.

Deck List:

Starter: Innocent Magician
12 Critical
4 Heal

G1:
4 Water Juggler (0.50)
4 Skull Juggler
3 Intensely Sweet Clown
3 Masquerade Bunny (2.50)

G2:
4 Nitro Juggler
4 Hellsgate Magician
3 Flying Peryton (0.70)

G3:
4 Miracle Pop, Eva (5.00)
4 Fullsmile Wyvern

G4: (Strides)
4 Ardor Dragon Master, Amanda (1.00)

Cost: $35.60 (USD)

Deck Comments:
This whole deck is about aggression and little tricks. Use the breakride to swap out the temporary cards from peryton or wyvern for permanent ones! Skull Juggler and Nitro Juggler will help setup your soul while making Hell's Gate active early game which by the by is like starlight violinist on steroids if you get it off. Hell's Gate and Peryton allow you to fill the field without sacrificing from your hand and Sweet Clown combos off for super power plays. The deck is very combo centric and Nitro and Skull Juggler to a lot to help the consistency of soul building for those combo plays.
