Hey Cardfighters!
Hopefully all of you know about the buzz surrounding Raging Form Dragon (RFD) and his triple attack wombo combo all thanks to yours truly "Dark Bless Angel". But is it really all that good? I would argue it is not.
First we need to look at the math for Raging form. His cost is 4 cards. Retires 3 revengers and needs another copy in hand. But when you attack you drive check 2. This means that raging form is actually a 2 card MINUS. At least, in terms of pure card advantage. The 2 "draws" being drive checks has some functionality as well as the extra attack which either does a damage or drops cards from the opponent's hand. So if we look at raging forms numbers 21k. We see that he can be stopped by a 2-pass by using 2 10k shields. Thus there are two scenarios. 1. Even. Both players are -2 you for raging form and them for guarding it. 2. You are at a card disadvantage and they took a damage. This situation is a lot better for the raging form player since damage will become worth a lot more than 2 cards later in the game however you also need to take into account that an extra damage can be used to punish your minus.
So overall raging form is looking like a break even in terms of game state however it does lower your total cards in play. Where does Dark Bless come into play?
Dark Bless enables RFD to do a triple attack. But we already know that its not really and advantage gaining play to use RFD so is it really worth it to run a card in your deck which enables a play that isn't actually getting you anything? I'm of the opinion it isn't.
I feel as though the common builds for RFD doesn't make use of the more efficient cards that Shadows/Revengers have access to in order to make a wombo combo more consistent when in reality that super wombo combo isn't that great.
I've been trying to mess with ways to include judgebau + 2 sword breaker in the deck and find a replacement for Dark Bless.
